Wow.
I didn't notice it as much when I read [b:The Name of the Wind|186074|The Name of the Wind (The Kingkiller Chronicle, #1)|Patrick Rothfuss|http://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1270352123s/186074.jpg|2502879], but Rothfuss really is an amazing author. There are so many small details throughout the books that tie together and I feel like he is one of the rare authors where every scene he writes has a purpose.
WMF introduces us to some new cultures in The Four Corners and I admire Rothfuss' ability to create engaging, intriguing and organic cultures that are widely different from our own. He even goes so far as to include a
very compelling argument against the idea that conception requires a man to flesh out one of his cultures.
I read this with a group of readers and I loved picking apart all the little things that were happening and putting together pieces of the puzzle. I can't wait for the third to come out!
