I
loved this book, I think I've found a new series to finish! Too bad the last book is scheduled to come out.
Aguirre's characterization was spot on. Jax is a kick-ass heroine with a side of crazy that seems plausible, not out of place, like character flaws often do. Marsh is a great romantic interest that doesn't overshadow Jax and isn't your typical alpha-male. Even side characters that had fleeting appearances were well crafted and lovable.
I was drawn into this book from the very beginning and had I started it before midnight, probably would have finished it in one sitting.
The one issue I had was that the ending gets a little slow and the pacing seems odd - although it sort of fits with what is going on with Jax as a character, it was a bit jarring to come out of such a fast-paced story line.
Definitely picking up the next in the series as soon as possible!
